How do I make my fouette turns better?
Okay, so I can do a clean double pirouette. How do I get my fouette turns down? Please only answer this if you are able to do these turns correctly.
Start out at the barre and practice the plie devlope front, carry side, bring in to pose as you releve. Repeat this a few times without actually turning. When this feels comfortable, move to the centre and practice fouette turns. Try only doing two or three at a time and as you improve then start to do more turns. Make sure you are always spotting, stay lifted, keep your leg at 90degrees when it is extended, and don’t get frustrated if you don’t master these right away. Just keep practicing! Also, once you get better at these then try to make sure you aren’t traveling and that you stay in the same spot the entire time.
